I had someone ask a while ago how I store my dies.
So here it is.
Metal DVD Boxes and Regular Size CD Cases.
Inside each case is two 4 x 5 self adhesive magnetic sheets.
I used the magnetic tape before, but it doesn't seem to want to stay adhered after a couple of years.
I really love the plastic wall storage unit.
But of course I can't find them any more so now I use these.
I have all my hardly ever used dies over in this unit.
Like weird shaped Spellbinder Dies.
Or all the great Labels Dies that I'm waiting for them to make decorative mats for.
But since I have started collecting other new dies.
I decided I'm going to need something else to store them in.
As there is no more wall space.
This is my pile waiting for me to decide on a new storage system..
My friend Londa has her dies in one of these Art Bin Magnetic Die Storage Cases.
I wasn't convinced at first because the magnetic sheets are just dropped into the case.
The case holds 21 magnetic sheets.
That seemed like a lot to sort through if you wanted one on the bottom.
But on the upside 21 sheets is a lot of storage area in a compact little bin.
So I gave in and am going to try it with one die company per box.
I'll keep Spellbinders and My Favorite Things Dies on the wall.
I use those the most.
I have put all my Paper Trey Inc. Dies (16) on the 3 sheets it came with and there is still room for more.
My grand daughter Natalie tested the sheets by throwing them on the floor.
No the dies did not stay put when the sheets hit the floor.
Put stay perfectly fine when taking them out of the case and moving them around.
No throwing on the floor.. :O)
All in all I think you get the most for your buck with this little unit
and it's portable.
If you would like me to order you one of these and some magnetic sheets just let me know.
I'd be happy too.
Thanks for stopping by
and for your lovely comments!

You have a great die storage system going!! I always seem to purchase more than I can ever use.. so am stuck with organization/storage issues, plus the overwhelming decision of which one to use as there are too many to choose from..
I like the Art bin magnetic die storage case..that seems to be the way to go for the thin metal dies.. the fact that it is portable is a huge bonus as that means it is ready to go on the spur of the moment..(thinking ahead for Summer trips and just "grabbing" fun stuff to take along in the trailer)... yes, I take scrapbooking and now coloring on vacation with me...lol.
Portability is a huge BONUS/PLUS for me when it comes to organizing storage. Thanks for your great tips.
Would sure LOVE to see a tour of your entire craft area!!! :-)
