I hope your day is going great.
In today's online class I worked on Day 255 in the
Luke 9:23
Then he said to them all, "If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me."
Today's story is about idols.
I have moved to a new city.
In my old city, I knew lots of people, I was important, I had influence.
I had roots.
A history of conversations and shared experiences.
In my new city, I was alone and unimportant.
God sometimes disrupts our complacency so we can move forward into him.
If we feel adequate in ourselves, we don't reach for God to make us complete.
He shakes us up for a reason.
Today take inventory of the things in your life that give you a sense of significance.
Ask God to reveal to you any things in your life that could be an idol.
What a powerful message.
I'm sure God has a few lined up to point out to me.
