(In) Courage - A Moment to Breathe - Day 179

Hey!

I hope you are having a wonderful week.

In today's online class I worked on Day 179 in the 

(In)Courage A Moment to Breathe 365 day devotional.

Colossians 3:17

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Today's story is about life not going like you planned.

I just graduated from college.

I'll be getting that dream job.

I will figure out what I want to do with my life.

I had dreams and goals I wanted to achieve immediately, but God doesn't work in my timing.

I ended up working at that job I had before I went to college.

I would cry out to God 

"Surely I am meant for more than this?"

Then God whispered in my ear I am enough!

Regardless of your current job--

 garbage man, cashier, stock clerk, dishwasher, stay at home mom.

He is enough.

I can do whatever my heart desires but if God isn't my contentment then nothing will ever be enough.

My life will be empty because only God is enough.

To you have days like that?

I sure do.

It seems like I'm in a constant state of restlessness.

Always wondering when my life will be what I want or how I imagined it would be.

It's a constant battle every day.

I have a million and two things I would like to be doing every day, but instead, I'm making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all day, picking up that towel for the 10th time, and entertaining children all day.

This is not what I had planned or imagined.

But I'm praying for God to be enough and see me through this season.

So when you get discouraged, know that God is enough.

He will always be enough.

Wherever you are, right now at this moment, you can trust that God knows what He's doing, and He has you where you are for a reason.
