Polar Bear Watercolor

 Hello there!
I hope you are having a wonderful week.
We have been enjoying some early sunshine.
Which meant sitting on the deck reading a book.
At least for me, that's what it meant.
Mr. Hobbie Haven even told me to put on sunscreen.

Today we are water coloring a Polar Bear.
I was doing a watercolor search over on Pinterest and came across this cutie and thought I would give it a try.
So I got out my sketchbook and proceeded to draw a polar bear.
Since there weren't a lot of lines on the original image I think I did pretty good.
But to be honest I did have to erase a few times.

You can find all the photo's
I use for inspiration over on my

It's my goal to practice sketching more and getting better.
You have to practice to get better!
I loaded my sketch onto my iPad and into Procreate to make an image for you to print out and use.
Just click on the Polar Bear image and choose Save As.
Then you can resize it to any size you like.

I then used some tracing paper and a piece of carbon paper to transfer my image onto a piece of

I used a Winsor & Newton Cotman Water Color Palette to paint my image.
I have the 24 half pan set but if you are thinking about getting a set I would recommend the 45 half pan set.

Colors Used:
Cadmium Yellow
Purple Lake
Phthalo Blue
Payne's Gray
Lamp Black
