CAPABLE

I am a fully capable woman of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Heather's Hobbie Haven - Bible Journaling - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

God-breathed
That part of the verse fills me with hope.

"God put something inside of me that made me capable of doing far beyond what I expected of myself, and I know He has done the same in you." (Melisa Garcia)

I AM a fully capable woman of God.
(so are you)
He chose me.
(and you)

I can do all the things I want to do and more.
God says I am all he could wish for.
Beautiful
Loving
Capable
Strong
Fearless

DETAILS:

First I printed the Saturated Canary image Freedom onto Vellum.
(Sorry this is no longer available since Krista has closed her shop)

Then I colored it with Copic Markers.
Let me just say coloring with Copic's on vellum is a bit harder then I expected, but I made it work.
It was a bit sticky so I ran my anti static tool over it then
I fussy cut her out.

Then prep my page with Dina Wakley clear Gesso to prevent bleed through on my pages.
This is just a personal preference for me.
I want to be able to do something on the other side with out worrying about whats on the opposite side.

Then I applied some Molotow masking fluid to the verses and the areas I wanted to have clouds.

Then I water colored the back ground with the

I took my image outside and sprayed it with
(I didn't want it smelling up the house)
I then attached it to my page and trimmed off the excess that was hanging off the side.

Next I removed the Molotow masking fluid by rubbing it with my finger.
I painted the clouds with the watercolors.

Then I choose a font i liked and printed my words backwards on a sheet of copy paper with my inkjet printer.
To get the words into my bible I placed the sheet of paper print side down onto the page where I wanted each word and scribbled across the back of the paper with a pencil.
This transfers the words onto my page lightly.
I then went over them with a sharpie black fine point marker.
I used the same marker to add the swirls and date.

I chose the He Has chosen Me stamp from the I Am kit and stamped it with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink.

To finish it off I added some gold splatters with the

I didn't leave enough room for a tab at the top of my page so I used the magnetic bookmark that came in the kit.

I hope you are having a wonderful day!
