In today's online class I worked on Day 227 in the
(In)Courage A Moment to Breathe 365 day devotional.
Daniel 3:17
If the God we serve exists, then he can rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and he can rescue us from the power of you, the king
Today's story is about grief.
A mother has lost her young son to death.
How can this be?
She says to her friend "Remind me who God is".
It's hard to remember who God is when you have lost everything you hold dear.
Death. Divorce. Illness.
All these things cause doubt.
It's ok to doubt.
Even Daniel's three friends had doubt.
"But even if he does not rescue us, we want you a king to know that we will not serve your gods or worship the gold statue you set up"
(Daniel 3:18)
But even if he doesn't...
You can know this.
He has not left your side.
He is there, walking beside us, weeping with us.
Because He loves us.
Always and forever.
