No-Line Watercolor│My Favorite Things - Piggy Pebbles - Card 1

Heather's Hobbie Haven - No Line Watercolor - MFT - Piggy Pebbles

Hey there!
How is your day going?
I haven't had much time for playing.
With the girls wanting to do stuff when I get home from work.
I don't have much time left over at the end of the day.

By the way, I got a job at the radio station doing different stuff.
Recording commercials, answering the phone, editing.
Not sure if it's my dream job, but I'm giving it a chance.

For today's project, I'm using the
My Favorite Things stamp sets
Both super cute!
I can see myself using the Scene Builder stamp set a lot.

We will be painting in the No-Lines technique.

I painted my images with M. Graham tube watercolors.
I'm sorry to say I didn't write them down as I used paint left over on my plate from the previous watercolor posts.
I'm trying not to be wasteful and use it up.

I used a Princeton Velvetouch 3 Round to start with then for the smaller details I switched to a

I cut out my image with the
Popped it up with some Scotch Foam Tape.
I buy this by the roll and cut it down to the size I want.

I used one of the sentiments from the Piggy Pebbles stamp set and stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.
I love this ink for sentiments it gives a nice clean crisp stamp.

I hope you enjoyed today card and found some inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a fabulous day!

Today we are doing some more water coloring.
We are making a second card using the My Favorite Things stamp Fresh Cut Flowers.
Today's card is 5x7.
A little bigger to accommodate the Honey Bee Stamps Scalloped A7 Honey Cut Die.

I placed my Arches 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper in my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and prepped it with an Anti Static Powder Tool. Then stamped it with VersaMark Ink.

I then taped my image down to a clipboard with painters tape and painted my image with M.Graham tube watercolors in  Naples YellowPayne's Gray, Quinacridone Violet, and Sap Green.
Not a lot of colors today. Let's keep it simple.

It took me about 45 minutes to watercolor this image in real time. For me, that's pretty quick.

After my image was completely dry I removed the painter's tape. Always wait for it to dry so you don't risk tearing your paper.
For the sentiment, I used the My Favorite Things Sweet Sentiments Stamp Set and Sweet Die.
The card is flat. No pop up's today.

I think it turned out really pretty.
What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a great weekend!

No-Line Watercolor│Honey Bee Stamps - Oh My Whiskers - Card 2

Hello there!
How is your week going?
Mine's going pretty good.
I am going to try out a new job today at the radio station.
We will see how it goes. Wish me luck!

Today we are using the Honey Bee Stamps set Oh My Whiskers to paint and the coordinating Oh My Whisker die to cut out the painted pieces.
We will be painting in the No-Lines technique.
I used the second generation stamping technique to stamp my images.
You can learn more about that in the video.

I painted my images with M. Graham tube watercolors.

I used a Princeton Velvetouch 3 Round to start with then for the smaller details I switched to a

I used the My Favorite Things Blueprints 21 die to cut out all the accent pieces using paper from the Honey Bee Stamps Spring FLing 6x6 Paper Pad.
Then I stamped my sentiment with VersaMark Ink using the Honey Bee Stamps Purrrect Sentiments Set.
You can also get the coordinating Purrrfect Sentiments Honey Cuts die to cut them out.
I didn't use that this time but used the My Favorite Things Blueprints 1 die.
I then embossed the sentiment with some Ranger Super Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.

It took me about an hour and 15 minutes in real time to paint the images.
Check out the fast forward video below or over on YouTube in HD.
